In
the course of making our beach house into a desirable rental cottage,
my
studio space was converted into the master bedroom. So for the
last several years I have had to make my paintings in the living
room. To regain a studio the idea was to make the queen-sized
bed into a fold-up, or Murphy bed. The mechanism I designed for
this is shown below and the step by step process by which it was
constructed. Thus in winter I regain my studio space and in
summer the bed can be easily lowered and the space converted back into
the
Master bedroom. |
